Wooden Spice Racks - at Home in Any Traditional or Modern Kitchen

A vintage wooden spice rack can be at home in a tradition kitchen or a modern kitchen.  With plenty of style and designs to choose from, there is something perfect for your kitchen.

Wooden spice racks are the most common and range from the revolving counter-top model to the small 2 to 3 shelf wall model up to the massive door hangers for the inside of your pantry door.

Often these spice racks are prefered by true weekend gourmets and chef as they can customize them more than other models.
If you like to buy your own spices, consider a wooden spice rack and some quality spice jars.

Finally a rack to hold ALL my spices!
by Virginia (Coral Springs, FL)

This is amazing! When I opened it, I was pleasantly surprised at the thickness and sturdiness of the wood. The carousel is great to have with this rack. Normally, I have a rack that only holds some of my spices. I have to keep the rest in a cupboard. This is a true space saver! BRAVO!

All about Spice Jars

When shopping for a spice rack, pay careful attention to the size of the jars on the rack. In many cases, the jars may be too small or too large depending on what spice you plan on putting in the containers. In many cases, these jars already come marked with spice names or even filled with spices.

Some people find this convenient, while others may prefer to customize their spice racks using the spices that are their favorites and spice labels, which come pre-printed. Also, be wary of spices that are included with spice racks. These could have been sitting on a shelf for a long period of time and may not be fresh.

Your best bet may be to purchase empty jars that you like and fill them with spices from a reputable vendor. Many spice fans recommend the Penzey’s company.
